State Systems was founded in 1986 when current President Bob McBride purchased the fire protection company with his father, Robert T. McBride. The company has experienced tremendous growth over the years through industry leadership as well as strategic acquisition.
State Systems now offers a complete suite of services for key fire and life safety systems including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, fire suppression, fire sprinkler, nurse call, commercial security, and other low voltage communication systems. Through 4 branch office locations, State Systems services Western and Middle Tennessee, most of Arkansas, Northern Mississippi, and Northern Alabama.

In March, State Systems acquires Tri-State Fire Protection in Memphis, TN. In May, State Systems acquires the Fire Protection assets of Lonestar Communications, opening a new office in Springdale, Arkansas, and combining Central Arkansas operations into a single location in North Little Rock.
